What is Zakat?

• Zakat is the mandatory charity that is due by all adult Muslim's that reach the Nisab threshold (this is explained in the below videos).

• Zakat cleanses the wealth of a believer.

• The needy, wayfarers, people in debt and many more classifications of people can be recipients of Zakat.

•  2.5% of your wealth should be paid yearly as Zakat.

• The amount can be paid at any time of the year to those that are in need.
